NEW Map 26 available now in Mathseeds!
Mathseeds, the online math program for kids, has recently expanded with the brand new addition of Map 26!
Map 26 is set in the set in the volcanic archipelago of the Galapagos Islands, with five additional math lessons designed for early learners.
The fun new activities in each lesson cover essential numeracy skills and concepts including measuring lengths, elapsed time, vertical addition, rounding numbers, and multiplication word problems.
NEW lessons in Mathseeds Map 26:
Lesson 126, Measuring with cm teaches how to use centimetres as a formal unit to measure length.
Lesson 127, Elapsed time shows how to calculate how much time has elapsed between two specific times to the hour and half hour.
Lesson 128, Addition demonstrates how to use vertical addition. Children learn to add two 2-digit numbers with no regrouping, and add three 2-digit numbers with no regrouping.
Lesson 129, Rounding numbers teaches how to use a number line. Children learn to identify the ‘midpoint’, and round numbers within 100 up or down to the nearest ten.
Lesson 130, Multiplication word problems introduces multiplication word problems that use the strategy of ‘creating a picture’.
